7 Jan 2011 - Life on the Malecon, Mahahual, Mexico

The perfectly maintained beach promenade winds itself between a wide and white sand beach leading into shallow warm waters and a line up of restaurants, bars, shops and construction sites for more of the same. Trees shade the restaurant tables placed almost chair to chair onto the sand, and offer an almost unlimited choice of places to stay awhile for a little refreshment, a little Mariachi music, and a little fresh sea food.
Although it is 'developed, it still feels innocent of the decadence one finds in places like Cabo San Lucas...no wet t-shirt contests, no intrusive vendors, good and reasonably priced food and drink, no crime, no beggars, not too much cheap junk in the small stores.
