I discovered the famous 'round church' in Belgrano, a neo classic/belle epoque edifice with graced soaring columns and a circle of elaborately decorated altars to various Saints.
Churchyard in Belgrano...instead of a cemetery, a pleasant shady cafe .
The grand church entrance leads into one of the many Belgrano Parks.
One of which contains the 'Glorieta', a large gazebo affair, which is a nightly venue for an open air Milonga.
Girls Day out in Belgrano
Celebrate St Patricks, Warsteiner and Isenbeck beer 10 Arg Pesos (2.50$Can) all day.
Downtown Buenos Aires had a number of blocks closed to traffic to accommodate St Patrick's Day revellers. Belgrano and Palermo got into the Stout, Parades, kissing the Blarney Stone, wearing Green (I saw one young chap showing off green shamrocks on his underpants), singing and dancing etc etc. Comes in handy being a Catholic country, any Saint's Day celebration will do - and why not St. Patrick?
No neighbourhood without it's dogwalkers...
