10 & 11 April 2010 - Kobe and Kyoto, Japan

Let the images speak for themselves.
Japan at cherry blossom time cannot b'e surpassed!
Apart from blossoming fruit trees, there are kimonos with perfectly balanced designs, colours and embroidery, chopsticks made from rare woods or other materials, uniformed polite children, bows and deferential greetings, ancient Shinto shrines, Buddhist temples and Imperial Palaces and parks, artistic ancient gardens designed by long dead masters, public classical concerts, shopping to the n'th degree, plum blossoms, squeaky Sho-gun palace floors, ancient wall paintings anhanced with micro-thin gold leaf, images of cranes and peonies, fans and more blossoms. In everthing - striving for perfection!
Two days in this lovely area of Japan, definitely not enough!
Now on the way to Yokohama, through a very rough and lumpy, stormy Japan Sea.
