This Polar Bear was walking along the road as the Olympic Flame arrived in Churchill, Manitoba, on Sunday 8th November.
The Question is: was this a new form of protest against Global Warming; was it a novel advertising campaign for Bear Watching Tours (people apparently flock up here to observe Polar Bears gorge themselves on goodies in the local garbage dumps); was it a cameo appearance of a competitor in a new Olympic winter sport (melting ice floe hopping?), was it a modeling of a new Olympic Nunavut sweater (to rival the fake Cowichan sweater?).
The mystery remains unsolved.
