My 'garden ornaments' are back and crop the shrubbery and appletree of succulent buds. They brazenly trample through the patio, their moist noses almost close enough to my open window, to let me wipe them with a Kleenex.

A rider with her 'bear warning' sheep dog enjoys a peaceful hack along the Trail. Last week the dog earned his laurels - he spotted a bear before the horses could get scared and helped the rider beat a hasty retreat. He did not show much courage, though, as he did not stop running, until he reached the waiting horse trailer way back on a road intersection.
