Countdown to D-Day....
Tango teachers who concentrate on 'tecnica', and especially the art of walking the Tango. Here they are showing off their artistry at a Sunday Milonga (dance). And - of course - one shall attend.
On the other hand....do I really want to go to Buenos Aires? Biblical floods, toxic clouds have made the news in the last few days...
If we think we have rain in the Northwest Pacific - think again. Buenos Aires is a clear winner. I never saw anybody even in rain soaked Tofino that deep in water, unless they entered the very ocean itself.
Transit stop...the buses keep running axle deep in water. As usual in these conditions, the Subways would be innundated with water and subterranean traffic comes to a halt.
But, Buenarenses take it in stride, power outages for days, transit chaos, whatever...may just as well enjoy it.
Imitating Messi, soccer in the rain...
And to top it all, if it wasn't the rain it was the stink. In Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires, a garbage barge caught fire containing 'some unidentified chemicals'. A toxic cloud covered half the city...
Ones hopes for improvement, especially for the sake of the local citizens. Given another month, stink and flood should have disappeared...
